Invisalign®

Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, and look similar to teeth-whitening trays. They are made of a thermoplastic material uniquely developed for the treatment plan.

Through the thermoplastic design, the aligners move and align the teeth through the correct placement of controlled force. The main difference is that these manage the force as well as the timing of the force. At each stage only certain teeth are allowed to move.

The treatment consists of a series of aligners that will be worn approximately 22 hours a day and changed every two weeks. Each aligner is individually manufactured with specific and exact calculations using computerized technology.

The Invisalign procedure is quite simple. During your consultation appointment X-rays, photos and digital impressions are taken to help the dentist plan a course of treatment. These digital impressions are sent to the company’s headquarters where they are used to create an accurate, 3-D model of the teeth. ClinCheck software is then used to simulate the movement of teeth during treatment to create a set of aligners that match your needs.

Invisalign is versatile and can help correct a broad range of dental and orthodontic issues, such as crowding, spacing, overbites, or misaligned teeth. Crowding and maligned teeth can lead to difficulty in cleaning this can lead to gum and periodontal problems.
