Restorative Dentistry
What is Restorative Dentistry?
Think of Wurzbach Parkway Family Dental as your smile architect. Our San Antonio dentists specialize in restoring your smile through the reconstruction and replacement of your teeth.
Using cutting-edge techniques, we provide the best possible treatments for our patients including crowns (how does a crown in a day sound?), bridges, inlays and onlays.
If you answer “yes” to any of the questions below, restorative dentistry may be right for you.
- Are you missing teeth due to an accident or tooth extraction?
- Do you have extensive tooth decay which has eroded your tooth structure?
- Do you have fillings that are defective or not aesthetically pleasing?
- Do you have wear on your teeth?

How Restorative Dentistry Is Done
We can create restorations in a single dentist visit using CEREC 3D technology. A high definition camera takes a 3-D photo of your tooth. A 3-D computer-aided design is then created from the photo and sent to a machine which creates a precise restoration of your tooth. To deliver a natural-looking result, restorations are made of a high grade, tooth-colored ceramic material that blends in with the other teeth in your mouth. After crowns, inlays or onlays, the restored tooth is strengthened and has up to 50% more chewing force.
